Application Process

Hi, Future RocSci Families! RocSci is a free public charter school serving students in grades K–12. We welcome applicants from Rochester and surrounding districts. Admission is open to all students—no tests, interviews, or essays required.

Hi, Future RocSci Families! RocSci is a free public charter school serving students in grades K–12. We welcome applicants from Rochester and surrounding districts. Admission is open to all students—no tests, interviews, or essays required.

Check Eligibility

Students who turn 5 years old by December 1 of the school year are eligible for kindergarten.

Lottery & Waitlist

If applications exceed available seats, a random public lottery will be held on April 8, 2026. Priority order:

  1. Returning RocSci students

  2. Siblings of enrolled students

  3. Children of RocSci staff (up to 15%)

  4. Rochester City School District residents

Students not selected are placed on a waitlist for future openings.
